Issue 50 of the Circuit - featuring “The Circuit”
The Circuit turns 50! Wow, I had no idea that this humble project would have become so out of control. I’d like to give a big thank everyone that’s been a part of the project, either behind the cover, or on it, and hope that I can continue to make the magazine for 50 more issues. I’ve got special 50th issue covers coming out from some guest designers all week, so stay tuned and thanks again for all the love.
The Circuit, welcome to The Circuit.
Gloria Balding - Issue 49 of The Circuit
Gloria Balding needs no introduction, mainly because this is the second time she’s appeared on the cover of The Circuit, a feat only ElkY has done before her, so she’s in good company.
Gloria, welcome back to The Circuit
Will Thomas - Issue 48 of The Circuit
The PokerNews cameraman packs a punch in this issue of the Circuit featuring Will Thomas. As a Vegas born and bred boy he’ll Strip Off Off-Strip, but confesses he’s never spent much time along The Strip, his preference is jumping off cliffs into water holes.
Will, welcome to The Circuit
Anne Laymond - Issue 47 of The Circuit
She shoots from the hip… and you’ve surely seen her photography of your favourite poker faces. Anne Laymond, Britain’s little French frog, who was once asked “When my sweet little weasel appears at the station…” Did anyone ever write you like that?”. Anne replied “No. I’m nobody’s little weasel”… I’m pretty sure it was her… either that or Amélie, one of the two. I get my french girls mixed up these days.
Anne, welcome to The Circuit
Alex Konyves - Issue 46 of The Circuit
You might know him as The Junior Accountant, or the Pokerlisting’s video guy, or you might not know him from a bar of soap… but he knows you… and he knows the 14yo girls at the 24 hour bowling alley at the Orleans. Pleased to introduce the man behind the camera who is more obsessed with his hair than Daniel Negreanu is with his ego,
Alex Konyves, welcome to the Circuit
Alan “Chuckles” Rodgers - Issue 45 of The Circuit
From all of the quotes and headlines we could have used for chuckle; “From Hull”, “No laughing matter”, “No, I’m not gay”, we could help ourselves not to go with “Alan, Alan, Alan, Alan” for this beast of PokerStars. If you don’t get the reference, just goggle Alan Alan Alan Alan and I’m sure you’ll find it.
Chuckels, welcome to The Circuit.
Teddy Sheringham, MBE - Issue 44 of The Circuit
If you call it Soccer, then you probably only know Teddy Sheringham as the guy that came 5th a the Villamoura EPT in 2010. But if you call it Football, then Teddy will need no introduction. Awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by that lady on the back of the coins, Teddy was an A-list football pro, playing for Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Nottingham Forest and Millwall as well as 51 Caps for England, including two World Cups. After retiring from Football in 2008 his turned his attention to Ladies… well I think he always had his eye on the ladies… but his poker got better too.
Teddy, welcome to The Circuit.
Brad “Otis” Wills - Issue 43 of The Circuit
Former TV reporter, now writer, traveler, husband, & father dabbling in music, photography, cooking, & poker. Otis is self-loathing with bursts of relentless optimism, and he’ll eat crayons for $400. “This is what we do…”
Otis, welcome to The Circuit.
